538e46343a fix pdb file generation so that the go into $(OBJDIR) and also 
have more useful names other than "none.pdb". some cleanup remains.

79654fb86d Removing static makefiles as a part of the transition to Autoconf. I have taken great 
care to only remove makefiles affailiated with building nglayout. I have also verified that
the build at this point in time succesfully builds with autoconf.

If you must recover one of these makefiles, you can use the static tag STATIC_MAKEFILES.
If I removed a makefile that you need, please e-mail cyeh@netscape.com.

c0d17b54f9 added init() method to prescontext. 
creator of prescontext is responsible for initializing pres context.
devicecontext is now init()ed with a nsNativeWidget.
removed hacky X Display stuff from device context and font metrics.
removed hacky code from windows font metrics.
changed nsNativeWindow to be nsNativeWidget.
added more code for compositor back-to-front pass.
improved text performance on X.
changed nsHTMLTagContent.cpp so that it will build with MSVC 4.1.

24f6d37f72 Changed IntersectRect() to return an empty rect in the case where the 
two source rects don't intersect. Also changed '==' operator to return
TRUE if both rects are empty
