d3488ba5e0 Bug #269483 --> Thunderbird UI changes to support the new update service (which is not turned on yet) 
add a toolbar button to the menubar for update notifications, add advanced pref UI to support the new settings, add a menu item under Help for Checking for Updates.

e7dec458b9 Bug #75866 --> Mark a message as read in JS instead of once for each mail protocol to simplify code. 
Hookup the JS function to a timer to allow users to only mark messages as read after they have
been viewed in the preview pane for a configurable number of seconds.

3379b80f07 Bug #190941 --> mailWindowOverlay.js uses obsolete outliner referenes. Thanks to Stephen Walker for porting this patch. 
Standalone message window is a bit of a mess. There are several separators and menu items that need to be hidden. Add the appropriate ids to these items and then hide them.
