for bug #86450: pasting plaintext into text area loses significant whitespace

    content/base/src/nsDocumentEncoder.cpp
        - Look for -moz-pre-wrap in the correct attribute ("style").

    editor/base/nsHTMLDataTransfer.cpp
    editor/base/nsPlaintextDataTransfer.cpp
        - Set the correct mime-type on the encoder and transfer data.
        - Pass correct init flags to encoder.

    layout/base/src/nsCopySupport.cpp
    layout/base/src/nsCopySupport.h:
        - Added IsPlainTextContext() method.
        - Modified HTMLCopy() to pass correct init flags and
          mime-type to the encoder during plaintext copy.

51b17b5bf0 Bug 88413: Remove |GetUnicode()| from nsString (and replace it with |get()|). r=dbaron, rs=scc. 
This removes all call-sites I can currently fix. Tomorrow I'll try to get someone to checkin my changes to security/ and I'll get some help with the Netscape side of things.

nsString::GetUnicode()'s final death-blow will be dealt soon. Please keep this in mind as you add new code :-)

9870b6af65 Fixing rtm++ bug 56212. The new serializers were a bit too eager about what characters to encode as entities, this caused bad things when sending email that contained double quotes and also when writing a message containing quotes in AIM. sr=vidur, r=nisheeth.

17e33bbc26 Checking in for bug 50742, this change removes the use of XIF in mozilla and replaces the XIF converter with a HTML (and XML) serializer. 
Contextual information added to HTML copy and intelligence added to HTML paste in the editor (fixes bugs 47014, 50568 and 46554, and partly (at least) fixes bug 53188).

Code written by vidur, jfrancis, jst, akkana. Tested by jfrancis, akkana, vidur, jst, kin. Reviwed (and super reviewed) by waterson, vidur, kin, jfrancis, jst

2fc6190bef small but pervasive change to make nsIDOMSelection an xpidl interface. also broke it into 2 interfaces, nsISelection and nsISelectionPrivate. moved nsIDOMSelectionListener also to xpidl. these new idl files live in layout/base/public. r=sfraser, r=anthonyd bug 48575

f4e554070e Added a new param to the HTML->Text sink stream to take the charset so that we can convert to plain text with the correct charset for the platform. Enhanced the XIFFormatConverter to take advantage of this, fixing bug 21414. r=akkana, nhotta.

131d318ad4 Revise the doc encoder and content sink APIs yet again to make it easier 
to add new flags (pass a flag in the constructor, rather than specific
booleans.  This in order to fix:
11249: Add flag to write only the body in html output.

a878369d02 Restructure the editor output routines to allow passing in 
a mime type and a flag argument.  Also fix the following bugs:
9746: get rid of bogus empty <style> in head.
8143: save wrap column in editor shell in case it's set before the
      editor is created.
9470, 9488: allow explicit specification of formatted output.

2fb45d996c - New dialog and editor shell API for Insert HTML Source 
- Add wrapcolumn setting to document encoders, and use it in the editor
- Fix numbered lists in the html to text sink stream.

2300ca567a - Add a prettyprint flag to the html-to-text sink (false by default). 
When prettyprinting is on, we will attempt to make the plaintext
  mimic the look of the html; when off (as for copy/paste), we just
  dump the text with no formatting information.

e69948ccbb Akkana set up a service for encoding a document. 
This checkin adds the implementations for encoding
HTML and plain text:

nsTextEncoder::EncodeToString(..)
nsHTMLEncoder::EncodeToStream(..)

Hooked these services into the nsHTMLEditor implemenation

We probably want to update the clipboard code to
use the same pattern as in nsHTMLEditor.cpp
