330890 unify does not preserve the execute bit when copying non-Mach-O files. Strengthen unify's file mode management, and avoid a possible race if multiple unifies are pointed at the same target. r=preed a/1.8.1=me, checking in on slushy freeze to enable possibility of BonEcho a1 universal build.
