2932b1be0a Allows the clover plugin to hook onto and alter compilation settings on the fly.

98525aa613 Defaulted the compile target to 1.1. If a build is done on JDK 1.4 then it defaults to JDK 1.4, which means on some JVM's (e.g. IBM's JDK 1.3) the code won't work! Even if you're not using any JDK 1.4 features. The generated bytecode can contain some JDK 1.4 specific methods! 
So as a safety measure, I've defaulted the target to 1.1 by default (which is the default setting for JDK 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 anyway). 

You can still overload this value on a project by project basis - this just prevents this possible bug hitting Maven users.

bd0cec9bb2 Make jar:deploy use the same relative path code that the snapshot does. 
This code realistically should be moved into the tag for deploy:artifact.

4d910fdeec made jar:deploy-snapshot use relative paths for the artifact. 
This helps with Win32 issues (host C: not found)

8cd4b0fb59 o When the jar:deploy-snapshot goal is run there will be a file generated in 
the repository of the form ${pom.artifactId}-snapshot-version. This
  will contain the real snapshot version. So when we do releases we can
  collect all the real snapshot versions for any SNAPSHOT version identifiers
  in the POM.
