siddhantCodes 2cf24a2df0 fix tests and minor changes ...

- use the iterator in `CanonPath` to count `level`
- use the `CanonPath::basename` method
- use `CanonPath::root` instead of `CanonPath{""}`
- remove `Path` and `PathView`, use `std::filesystem::path` directly
