49311b2357 Bug 209475: Make nsIPermissionManager more flexible for extensions. 
Changes nsIPermissionManager.idl to accept type strings rather than integers; this allows consumers to register unique types more easily, without fear of conflicting with an already-existing one.

Also fixes some bounds-checking fu (sr=bz on irc for those additional portions).

nsLocalFile::Remove's file pointer is sometimes null afte...
This fixes a crash when we dereference null.  It is a bandaide fix as the real problems involves retooling the directory enumerator.

This fixes a terrible state which you can get into whereby XPCOM will fail to startup regardless of what you do.  The fix is to cause autoreg to happen if the component registry (compreg.dat) is not found.

58b9a7b182 Fix LDAP XPCOM SDK race condition which could cause LDAP entries to get dropped, or binds to fail entirely (bug 131447). The old code asked ldap_result() for all new messages received, including ones for operations that it did not yet know how to handle.
